If you're in or around the North Carolina area, you may want to tip over to Duke University's Nasher Museum of Art for the Big Shots: Andy Warhol Exhibit.

A collective of about 250 Polaroids and 75 silver gelatin black-and-white prints taken by Warhol from 1969 to 1986 as well as a selection of Warhol films from the 1960s, the exhibit will be a display of how Warhol "tried to capture the world like a camera." [Nasher Museum of Art]

The exhibition opens at the Nasher Museum (November 12, 2009 - February 21, 2010)

“It’s not just for the old garde anymore. There’s a youth energy pulsing through the couture collections, and the only accessory required is a little bit of attitude.”

V magazine's 62nd issue features Natalia Vodianova in Armani Prive, Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci, Dior Haute Couture as styled by Nicola Formichetti [who also styles Lady Gaga]. The issue hits stands on 11.03!

Many of you were inspired as I by the post I wrote on Liberty of London buyer and style consultant, Yasmin Sewell. Garance Dore is also a fan and shot her for Vogue.com. Here's one page, my favorite from the feature.

These fashionably aware fellas make the neutral, and less favored color of brown look exciting with their styling nuances. The shot on the left is drapy and chic, truly effortless, while the look on the right is completely dandy-inspired.

Whatever the inspiration, turn what's least expected into a show stopper!

It's no secret that I have narrow, slightly slanted eyes. My mom swears that we have Asian roots [buried in Jamaican and Cuban roots, I guess] and I've always tried to open my eyes by avoiding liquid eyeliner and NEVER lining my lower lid.

Celia of A Fraction Of Fashion and her sister (big proponents on the exact opposite) gave me a slight makeover and played up my eyes, drawing attention to its Asian attributes. Surprisingly, I loved it. And have embraced it, putting on a bold eye everyday, instead of my usual bold lip.

Point is, never hide the beauty that you've been blessed with. Play up those full lips with bold red lipstick. Wear a body con skirt despite your wide hips. If you've got it, [whatever it is] flaunt it, honey!

Use the widget above to vote for my girl Celia Smith of A Fraction of Fashion in the America's Most Stylish Blogger Contest presented by StyleList and Bluefly.

Eight bloggers have been chosen to compete against each other in "America's Most Sylish Blogger" contest. It's pretty much a weekly style off with key pieces from Bluefly for five weeks.

I shot Celia in the images below for the first challenge: The Boyfriend vest. In an awkward color and style that she would never wear regularly, she worked it out.

I'll keep you abreast on the following challenges. And by the way, you also get entered to win a $1000 shopping spree on Bluefly when you vote. Vote Celia!

DEETS: turban, H&M blazer, FC top & tights, American Apparel skirt, JC oxfords

A few people have asked about this turban. I wear it to the side and embellished the knot with chain. I bought it from a random beauty supply/wig shop in my neighborhood. You may be able to find it in similar shops in your area as well.

Though I channel "old lady" with this look, Prada jumped on it in 2007. Here are some looks for that spring collection.

Noir Basic as been know for, well, keeping it basic. With this piece they kept it simple with the colorway. Black is a color that easy to sell and will never go out of style. The jacket is an instant classic.

Samantha touched up on this topic a few weeks back [check the post here] but I wanted to add to it because I believe that a lot of people mistakenly feel as if a stadium jacket is worthless unless there are patches, embroidery, or designs all over. Well that is not true. What is more important is the materials and the fit.

A good stadium jacket should be slim on the body. The elastic waist-band should not be any lower then your waist-line.

This Winter, there are a few brands who focused more on the details and fit of their stadium jacket and the end result are instant classics. Remember the saying, "sometime less is more" and in this case that statement stands tall. Here are a few pics of my favorites from Fall/Winter 2009.

Photobucket

Bleu de Paname diverted to an wool on wool navy blue jacket with a double thick convertible collar and wrist bands. Comfort, coziness, and warmth.

The Cool Cats x Wings + Horns collaboration gives you a different look form the rest of the jackets above. With a two-tone colorway, navy/black, they added a pocket that is not of the norm for Stadium Jackets. Yes this jacket does have a patch on the chest but it is not overly done. The one patch does not defer your focus from the design of the jacket.

Photobucket

For those who can not decide between a Pea-Coat or Stadium Jacket for the winter, Journal Standard made it much easier for you. They fused together a Pea-Coat and Varsity Jacket and the end result was this. Check it out, the toggles, draw-string, and hood is just perfect. Also in this picture, you can see what I was talking about when I stated "the elastic waist-band should not be any lower than your waist-line."

Photobucket

Sadly, Kanye decided to not release Pastelle but I wanted to use this jacket as an example of a Stadium Jacket with details. Look how he [Kanye West] mixed the wool body with suede/nubuck sleeves and a vinyl shoulder strap. Perfect example of how to play with the materials. If you look carefully, you will notice that the collar is sky-blue. This picture also exemplifies that we, street wear kids and hipsters, can still appear to be mature and clean with out straying too far away from our comfort zone.

Great job by the stylist. The use of a camo trench coat as the based of the outfit with accessories with colors that pop was a smart styling choice that comes off as effortless and unique.

Save the date because it's fashion diffusion line season and everyone's in on it. Even the Olsens have been bitten by the bug with invites to view their juniors line for JC Penney called, Olsenboye going around.

Not among the many to launch a collabo-line any time soon, is Christian Louboutin. He told NY Mag the following:

"They proposed me to do the diffusion line and I declined," he told us. "Not that I don't think it's an interesting idea, but it's a lot of work really, so it's just difficult for me to do it."

Right now, I'm craving laced-up, chunky heel booties.

Mini buttons are my favorite. I'm drawn to ones with faces and art on them. And although lapels, backpacks and handbags are common place for them, even donning one on my belt loop, I've never thought putting them on the cuff of my jeans!

Be innovative in whatever you wear today. Add you own personal twist. Tie a scarf as a necklace. Wear a necklace as a bracelet. Just do your own thing...

With a collaboration with one of shoe royalites, Jimmy Choo and a campaign shot by our favorite photog Terry Richardson, this may be one of H&M's biggest venture to date. It's due to hit stores, November 14.

Here are some guidelines for orderly shopping as read on Nitrolicious:

The first 160 people in line will receive a bracelet; on the bracelet you will be given a specific time for shopping in our designated area. The bracelets are only needed for the women’s shoes, bags and accessories. Customers shopping the men’s collection or the women’s garments will not require a bracelet. When your time has come, we will let you into the designated shopping area to shop.

If you are not one of the 160 first in line, you will of course have the opportunity to shop from the rest of the collection or within H&M. After about 2 hours we will also open up the designated area for all customers.

For the collection, each customer can buy the whole collection but one per product or piece (accessories) per product per customer.

DEETS: vintage sweater via my mom, American Apparel jeans, Payless shoes, Odd & Even, NYC Cuffs

Have you ever loved a fashion so much that it almost made you cry? I can't be the only one!

When my mom dug this out of her closet and suggest I take it to my favorite reseller/vintage spot, Beacon's Closet, I gasped. Hand in treasure in exchange for what? A better vintage sweater, with massive removable shoulder pads and beautiful sequin and beading...not to mention the angora wool and rabbit hair compostion...

This sweater is the new star of my closet. I just hope the other pieces don't turn against me.

How amazing would it be to roam the streets in a leotard and an overcoat...topped off with studded Loubis?! Save for the feeling naked part, I'd say pretty amazing.

Opening Ceremony is always good for a collaboration that we never imagined we needed, but always love. They've done it again with Keds for skips that are foolproof for every season. The pony hair makes it appropriate for fall while the shoe will forever speak to summertime.
