H+M t-shirt dress, vintage belt via my dad, really old Steve Madden sandal heels
H+M did this longer in the back, shorter in the front thing with so many pieces including this one. Check out my latest dressing room diaries to see more.

Wore this dress ($29->$19) almost as soon as I bought it! Love the graphic design. Love the mumu shape and how easy-breezy chic it would be belted with high heeled sandals.

This top ($29) felt very Ashley Olsen tucked into these jeans ($49). But not sure about the fabric, I passed.

At 49 bucks, this sweater was one of the pricier buys but for a piece that's absolutely seasonless, I couldn't resist! The split begs for layering!

I just had to try these on! H+M is doing these '60s mod inspired pieces. Super structured and color blocking galore. The jacket was really cute opened too, but the fabric was too junior for me.
A fun chunky knit ($49), again with the slits and the longer in the back situation. The designers are really focusing on common element in the design.

I'm always attracted to the billowy blouses. This one felt too old though. The peter pan collar and the print was too forced. It's better in green, but then it doesn't come across as vintage...gets confusing.

Long in the front!? This was a no.

This top ($17) was cute but when you have similar camis, it wasn't cute enough. It had this elastic peplum thing going on. And the jeans ($49)--loved until it got to the ankles. They refer back to the '60s theme--cropped with slits at the hem on the inseam and the outside, which means they flare out. Also a no.
With all the over-the-topness that Versace has solidified it's place in fashiondom with, you better expect extravagence for it's collab with our fave fast fashion retailer, H&M. So I'm just going to get my coins together starting today for this black leather body-con embroidered dress *GAH!*

Writing the deets to this look I just realized it's majorly vintage! Love vintage shopping and I'm long overdue for a good trip.
The inside scoop is that this shot was taken on Sunday morning, the morning after a party on Saturday night. But I also wore the lace Vintage skirt in the day on Saturday to the Solestruck casting, coffee and dessert at Balthazar in SoHo and to visit my artist friend in Harlem.
So I also wore it with black Kurt Cobain tee cropped, A. Wang super short black silk shorts and a brown leather woven belt...can you picture it?

Blake and I
Last night I attended the launch of the super-on-the-edge-of-everything-you-want-in-your-closet boutique, Blake Scotland. Beuatiful people, sipped beautiful things [I love Hendricks Gin] and looks at beautiful things, like my jewelry! See it below, on sale at Blake Scotland!
Blake Scotland is TNEMNRODA's coming out, the first boutique to carry my line--and what an amaze opp to be carried at a spot that encompasses the girl that I design for!

Only high end would dare what I've dreamed: reissue faves! I worn many a tops and jeans to the last fiber, this however, is more of a collectors motivated revisit to past styles. So expect crazy prices this July when the capsule caollection of sorts pops up around the city.

You know my signature pose: Leaning a little to one side, head down, right hand keeping hair out of face [even if it's pulled back!]

I tried on 15 pieces in my last H&M visit--don't judge! Three pieces made the final cut--all pictured above with the exception of the culottes which were super cute, definitely Miu Miu-esque, but not the matter at hand.
I was aiming for interview pieces. Your girl is looking for a new gig *insert cheap plug here ->keep me in mind if you hear of a brand manager/production manager position at an accessories company (preferably jewelry)!*
Back to the story, so I had an interview the next week and wore the skirt--partly pleated and all fabulous--with the blouse I also snagged, my A. wang blazer and Forever 21 Miu Miu-esque platform Maryjanes...seems I have an affectation for all things almost-Miu Miu.
For a relaxed look, I wore the skirt again that weekend with my fave vintage top, a vintage lace cami, a navajo pendant neck- and my Aldo laced up wedges.

We all know the 70s are trending hard this season, right? You don't have to be a fashion-know-it-all to notice the light washed flared denim, loose fringe-y knits and maxis in every shop to realize the era among us.
So it's no surprise that everyone would hop on these paisely print billowy bell bottom situations. I could def even get into a tie dye printed one--might as well take it all the way! See a few shopping options below!

I got my Free People Catalog in the mail this weekend! And I don't mean to say it like I always get one. I actually usually get an Urban Outiftters book, which is old news to me by the time it's come. I've already grabbed a copy from the store!
So, super excited about this new mail and even more stoked to find Gemma Ward as there cover *slash* every page girl! See my fave looks here and check the Free People site for a cute video...and shopping of course!

Javana looks different every time I see her. Watching her reinvent herself between a matter of a week is simply so much fun.
Here, she inspires us right back to the medium brim hat. Get one by Pendleton at Opening Ceremony. I would never give mine up but Nelson had me considering.

Nelson, spotted in NoHo, NYC looks so gentlemanly at what I doubt is any more than 22 years old! It's never too early to tap into dapper. See the picks he inspires below!

Cropped tops are my summer staple and as a result so many shirts have been subject to a slashing--God bless the ones that have been impressive enough to evade the chop!
I only wish that I could cut my sweaters the same! To avoid an unraveling mess, sweaters like the ones below are a great option.

I remember when I first heard of the line, Mike + Chris. I was a fashion intern at Vibe Vixen and they sent a lookbook. I believe we requested some bags which was what they did best at the time [2006, only a year into the line]. But the leather geniuses they are, they've perfected the leather jacket and variations of [like above!].
