Topshop opens this week finally! Can't wait for sorbet colors this spring. Yummmm!

Paul Smith Spring '09 line is a bit reminiscent of the '50s. Something like a nicer image of James Dean in the Hamptons or Cape Cod. Guysa re you rocking colored pants this spring?

I threw on Lauren's vintage mink collar. See more of her vintage pieces for sale at Neon Dreams on Ebay.

So I rarely check my gmail. The last time was maybe in December. Who knew that it would cause misunderstandings and missed opportunities!
1. I went on a rampage to Lauren about our friendship because I thought I wasn't invited to Matt's bday weekend fun! Not true! I was invited. I just didn't check my gmail. Opps!
2, which maybe should be 1. My style icon, Catherine Baba emailed me during fashion week! I told her to let me know when she's in NY. She did! And I missed it! smh
3. I forgot about these shots that I took at the Hood By Air show last month...I think. Had to take 'em on Lauren's cam because mine died. She emailed them to my gmail, of course.

Love Keri Hilson! Seems that she's taken to houndstooth as her trademark print. Look out for it in this video!

So I've been encouraged by someone very close to me, who is always right, to lower my prices on my Odd & Even, NYC jewelry. She says this with the rational that, "it's not about pricing by worth, but to just get it out there and for people to wear it"....and love it, I say!
She's right. I was making this stuff before the site, and will still make it if no one buys anything, so why not price it reasonably enough that it can serve as a mega upgrade to your wrists, neck or fingers without costing you the body part itself!
Hope you check the brand spanking prices here! xo, S.
I'm learning, bear with me :)

This "weird" pant look is my thing right now. The white shirt was too much for a night of party hopping. Maybe the blazer was too, but I liked it with the jeans. When will I get tired of them? Who knows!
Deets: 1st 'fit: vintage shirt by way of my Mom, Max Studio Skirt, Vintage belt, FCUK lace tights. Aldo lace wedges
2nd 'fit: H&M blazer and jeans, Vintage lace cami

Just a couple days ago, I was wondering about the recent Champion emergence. DeeRay of Deeray's Way said that there had been a recent collaboration between the brand and Jeff Staple. Iran of Buzy Gurl in Da NYC said that Champion has gotten so hot that a kid stole her brother's hoodie! Can't you just pick 'em up for nothing at Modells?
Maybe, but Champion has grown beyond a quick buy at your nearest sports store. You have approximately 8 days, 23 hours and 2 minutes, from the time I'm writing this post to enter Hoodie Remix.
I'm way past my bedtime designing shirts on the interactive site. The hoodie with the most votes will have their design distributed for actual purchase! Although Issa W. From Millbrae, CA has 23 hoodies in the lead out of the 50 most popular designs, I may still have a shot! A girl can dream, right?
Here's the first out of my three designs, vote for your fav! A style for ladies! View it here.
One for guys. View here.
And a unisex design. View it here.
One of my new year's resolutions was to design jewelry more often. I've kicked my creative flow into high gear recently. Here are a couple of things I've been wearing from the new pieces I've made.
Loving the custom chain shades that Amber Rose wore, I decided to make my own version. I just used some old shades that I don't wear anymore (for starters, in case I didn't like the finished product!) and two different chain links. A little glue and voila!

Is rolling your pant cuff an art?
It shouldn't be. The look is meant to be haphazardly done and it hurts my heart to see a boyfriend jean rolled up neatly. Even here with a skinny jean, where a neat roll would be acceptable, the clumsy, two-second roll lends an air of effortless chic to the mix.
When it comes to the voluminous "It" pants this season, undo that ironed flat fold for some clumsy cuffs.
A quick look ahead at the emerging trends from the Fall '09 collections shows that our obsession with opaque and lace tights should shift to embellished, bedazzled varieties.
I'm not excited about this. As a matter of fact, it looks uncomfortable. Ladies, will you be wearing this?

On my way to the park to enjoy the weather before class, I kept bumping into stylish people. But guys, nonetheless, as I've been attracted to men style of late.
I don't know when I'll get tired of this look. But while I'm into it. Here's a shot!
Gold shoes. Check. Man bags. Check. Model strut like Broadway is your catwalk. Check.

But why!? Because even dirty and old (i.e. the middle pair) these Raf Simons kicks still looks fresh!

The antithesis to a women's boyfriend blazer is the fitted blazer for men. I love the dressy sheen and tailoring of Orthodox's striped blazer ($348) available at Oak.

I wanted to wear the first outfit, but didn't wanna do the whole, tights and heels thing for a running around day. And it was too cold to go without the tights. ugh!
So I changed into the jeans. It was my first thought anyway.
Deets: Left: French Connection sweater, H&M nude tank, Victoria's Secret Lace Front/sheer back dress (worn as a top), American Apparel skirt
Right: Vintage belt, H&M jeans and socks, Steve Madden flats

Visit VIII XXIX for my post on how to be "Androgynously Fabulous" a la Andre J and runway looks from Margiela to Westwood.
My hear skipped a couple beats when I browsed the A/W '09 Louis Vuitton Collection. Marc Jacobs seems to have paid some tribute to Christian Lacroix with the ruffle-y, sheer, tutu pieces. But below are my top five looks that I heart and wish I could wear right now.
Red is powerful and in hard times a woman's got to be tough.
I do sexy in subdued doses. So I love how this is sexy just so.
Nudes are hot for this spring and we see here that they'll still be relevant for the fall. Plus a bit of volume to the mix, doesn't hurt.
Leather! All over the runways for the fall--but paired with a cutesy top, it's not as intimidating.
And here's the cherry on top. Mini, low cut, but vibrant and voluminous. The perfect blend of sexy and pretty!

I don't usually get "What I Wore" posts up the day I wear things, but I actually wore this today!
Deets: French Connection batwing sweater and graphic tank, Zara drop crotch pants, vintage earrings, Odd & Even, NYC cuff

To add onto the list of things I want to accomplish this year, DJing may be one of them.
Here's Lily Allen at the Chanel and Another Magazine party, upstairs at Coco's old spot [31 rue Cambon].

Though it takes a certain man to pull off the high shine look in extremes, the task is a bit easier for the ladies.
Natalia Vodianova shows us how it's done in this Spring's Issue of V mag as styled by Mario Testino.
