Many of the pieces have been designed by her and are often sold to friends and visitors, so her home changes constantly. In case of the iso' t-Storms that weather.com warned me about for my trip to DC, I packed two extra pairs of shoes. It was surprisingly summer-time and I came back dressed as such. In a midriff-baring cropped top, a NY chill welcomed me back home.

It's gross out, humid, etc--ugh. And I made no plans for later. But NY Mag asks, "Do you want to go to the Ruffian show?" I say, "Of course!" But I'm thinking, "Eeeek! No heels and I'll never make it home and back in time."

So here's my lesson learned: Never leave home without...heels. What's yours?

So how excited was I to come across the home diary of one of the shop's buyers, Kristen Lee. A lounge area in the kitchen over a kitchen table?! Amazing!

I'm still so excited from my shopping experience at Loehmann's, where myself and six other bloggers were invited to the discount department store for trend talk with Stylist Felix Mercado and shopping with a $300 gift card.

Observing Loehmann's from a distance and, of course, having walked by it on so many occasions as it's walking distance from my job, I thought it to be a retailer for an older woman. I thought the woman who is devoid of fashion insight shops at Loehmann's. That is soooo far from the truth!

Don't compare it to Century 21 either. The Chelsea-based Loehmann's is super organized, on and ahead of trend with a selection that keeps your eyes darting across the floor.

Labor Day is more than a tribute to the back-breaking Americans of the labor movement and the social and economic achievements they have brought to our employment system (U.S. Labor Deptartment). It's about our farewell to anything white! Kidding, but seriously, it is.

Chinatown-based art exhibit. MaxFish with friends. Then rushing home to scrounge up some sleep for church the next morning. That was my weekend. And this is what I wore.

Wedges are so hard to pull off. If the heel is too low, you give off a nursing home in Florida look. If they're too high, you're praying for every step you take. These, however, are just right!

I'm not big on Christmas, but Max Azria, you can put your Kuumba (creativity) to work and drop these in my Kwanzaa basket. I promise to love you eternally!

An eventful night began with a Jack and Ginger, which prepared me for an admirer of the female form who low-key followed me around until she finally called me a "cutie." Gasp!

This is the point in the year where I begin to reflect. I spend way too much time looking at old Facebook photos and get all nostalgic. So I decided to highlight my fave Facebook pictures as they tell a story of this past year.
