In faves like Miu Miu and boho-style Cavalli pieces, Elisa Sednaoui in D la Repubblica is not only an amaze visual, the editorial is a reminder on styling tips and trends for Spring 2011. I note elements that I'll be tapping into this season!

This is why I heart all that Kanye West is. The "kanye-'d" out [ please allow me to use him name as a verb]blouse from this season's Celine Spring Collection has sent people talking all over the blogsphere. I meannnn, unbottoned to the navel, gold chains swinging...Phoebe would be so proud.

And that's not sarcasm! She better be! [Love ya Phebes! ;)]

We all know the 70s are trending hard this season, right? You don't have to be a fashion-know-it-all to notice the light washed flared denim, loose fringe-y knits and maxis in every shop to realize the era among us.

So it's no surprise that everyone would hop on these paisely print billowy bell bottom situations. I could def even get into a tie dye printed one--might as well take it all the way! See a few shopping options below!

Not sure if it's because I'm looking for a new job or just because I have a craving for classic, professional pieces, but this collage describes what's on my "To Buy" list perfectly.

I'm all about blush pink and would add another blazer to my six if I could find that perfect neutral. Also on the hunt for the perf pump, especially after snagging one a size too big and then wearing them! [I'll be putting them up for grabs here!] The Michael Kors watch? Always a fave. The tortoise shell with plating says me all over it! I should know, I've tried it on enough times.

If you were on your "Profesh Shit," what would be on your list?

I just bought Katy Perry's ET on iTunes...I've been singing along with it every time I happen to hear it, so it's about time I can hear it on demand! Even more amaze is that Shaun is featured in the video, playing Perry's extraterrestrial love interest! Congrats again, dear!

The styling is brilliant and the pieces are exactly what I want in my closet. The laser cut lace dress cut along the pattern? So smart. The gold cuff that made it on every limb--the upper arm, wrists and ankle? Gonna try it! The repetition in footwear, hats and underwear? Mimics real life.

And what's more, the collection, Smokey Rolls was co- conceptualized, designed and styled by the modelesque blogger of 4th and Bleeker! Congrats girl!

The "horns" on her face look like a makeup illusion and the shoulder "prosthetics" looks like the work of PhotoShop, not even consistent throughout the shoot. But yet Derek Blasberg insists on targeting her new look as "Mommy Monster" as some motivation for her fans to self mutilate.

Whaaaat??? Blasberg, I don't even understand why you write 60% of the articles in Harper's much less ask Gaga silly questions. And as left field as his interview was Gaga managed to serve some amazing ideas. See my faves below:

//GAGA ON FINANCIAL FREEDOM//
Financial freedom has been a tonic for any emotional fatigue. "The true luxury of my success is that I can do it all on my own terms now, even though the roller-coaster ride is still going." But now she owns the roller coaster. "I own the whole theme park, actually."
//GAGA ON HER DESTINY//
And what if it hadn't worked out? What if she was still struggling Stefani? Gaga says she'd be just as happy as she is now. "I would still be living next door to my friend Jennifer, playing at the clubs I've always played at. It was never not going to work out for me because I was already living my dream when I was playing music."
//GAGA AS AN ADJECTIVE//
But in getting people's attention, Gaga has been universally sensational. In an early video interview, she looks into the camera and uses the word gaga as an adjective. "I've always wanted to be an adjective," she says with a smile. But she adds, "Back then, I was just delusional. I'm going to make a T-shirt that says, I'M NOT A PROPHET, I'M DELUSIONAL."

Isabella Doelwijt, the creator of my fave collages on her blog Maiohwn, is also a designer. She's entered into the Cosmo Mag Holland lingerie design contest in which she needs your votes TODAY! So no delay, vote! I def endorse this rose petal bra situation.

Isabella explains her concept below:

my concept || Wuti (Means women in the Native American language)
my design is inspired by the cultural beauty dance for women of the native american spiritual believes and communities, which takes place right before the sun rises across the horizon. the purpose of this dance is to give the body and spirit more beauty from the inside. i translated this ritual in my design by creating a horizon of gold around the body to celebrate the pureness and beauty. the spiritual side of my concept is reflected with different sizes and sorts of transparent clay, which embraces and thrives the beauty of a woman.

//Khloe Kardasian x Coveteur//

Outfitting your home is truly an extension of your style especially when you're featured on The Coveteur and every room look like a still life shot in Vogue.  But these shots? I couldn't resist. The cheese factor is down and the inspiration, way up.

See the way fashion influentials Khloe, Logan [stylist to Leighton Meester] and Sylvana [Dir. of Special Events at Vogue] adorn their homes.

If you've ever had dinner with me more than once, we've probably been to Thailand Cafe. Since being introduced to Thai food in Boston during my college years, I've aimed to find a comparison to my fave spot there.

Needless to say, I've found that in Thailand Cafe. Me and my boy, Mike went last Thursday and as his first Thai experience, he had exactly what I had. So we sat there with this pu pu platter table of treats: bikini shrimp, curry puffs, coconut rice and ginger dressing salad. Everything is amaze and nothing beats the $5 top shelf cocktails.

So here's my first restaurant recommendation: Thailand Cafe//95 2nd Ave [bet. 5th and 6th street]

The custom vintage prints of the Paul & Joe pieces, the audacious faux mongolian-like fur from Japanese designer, Mehgan, innovative cuts and perfectly crafted hand-made jewelry--my Caro Marketing market appointment was fantas'.

If I had to sum up Fall 2011 according to what I saw at this appointment, I'd say you should expect an extension of the '70s trend--lots of suedes, funky platforms, gold jewelry and mini feminine print dresses.

The Henrik Vibskov store opening spilled into the streets at 6:30! Only a half hour after it was scheduled to open. And to think me and my boy Michael Scott thought we were early!

Once in, the opening was more like a homecoming. The first warm day during an event brought all the winter's long lost faces out in droves. So besides the catching up, the collab brainstorming...I don't have a good idea of how the store looked or even what Vibskov-curated designers are represented, so I'm def due for a second trip.

And while I'm at it, let's say cheers to the after party too! Madame Wong's treated us so right with the Vibskov sponsored Absolut Wild Tea drinks and I ran into Chioma, my editor at FADER! We've both moved on and having not seen each other for a few months, it was more homecoming fun! No pictures from that...you'll just have to believe it was a good time.

It's the trend that keeps on trending, and with the '70s on every shop's inspiration board you might as well go out and get your own because the Maxi Skirt is here to stay!

Click on each shot for a link to different ways I've worn my maxis and a previous trend report on the '70s keystone.

Thanks for making my yearning for Spring that much stronger, LF! The icecream colored brights, and warm weather silhouettes (sleeveless button down, anyone?). I'm all about these looks...now for the warm weather to stick.
