About a month ago, an anonymous reader commented on a WHAT I WORE post about wanting to dress more creatively but felt restricted by the standards of what's considered work appropriate.
Well miss style-craved workaholic, here's what I've come up with to help you and anyone else who wants to know how to make work wear fun and stylish!
DEETS: Chloe Double-breasted blazer, Herve Leger Stretch pencil skirt, Maje Kimiko silk shirt, Kain Silk-blend tank, Preen Cropped slouchy pants, Chloe Leather chainlink belt, Aldo shoes

MY MAIN TIPS:
Blouses and pants in silk or polyester, or some blend other than just cotton looks polished right away. Look out for these fabrics to upgrade your look.
Take advantage of the Dynasty/Working Girl focus in fashion! Wear a blazer! It makes a decent tank and a slouchy trouser or body con skirt look profesh' and modern!
*Another blazer tip: Belt a blousy blazer with a belt for a new spin on the look.
Keep accessories minimal. One statement piece at a time. A Pyramid cuff is a nice touch of eccentricity to wake up a look.
Add an interesting shoe to the mix to keep things fun. Keep the color muted and play up the style and skin.

I am totally following your advice for school, where we have to dress 'smart' now. That Chloe blazer is so perfect, you could put it with anything! x

@The Vegetarian: yay! glad I could help. You're def right..these looks work for a "smart" look anywhere..not just the work place.

Thank you sooooooo much. That was actually my comment and I thought you had forgotten about it. I cannot WAIT to follow through. I have most of these pieces already in my closet:-). Once again, thank you so much for taking the time.
@anonymous: so glad you got to see this! I thought maybe you'd miss it since i took so long!
and great that you have these pieces already! ppl try to do too much for profesh wear: vest or a structured button up, pinstriped pants...it's all too old fashioned.
keep it simple. an oversized oxford with a structured pencil skirt would even be cute.
drop a line to lemme know how it's working out!
