Because my first post left out a bunch of crucial names...here's part 2!
Alber Elbaz for Lanvin (al-BEAR el-BAHZ for lon-VAN)
Badgley Mischka (Badge-lee Meesh-ka)
Bebe (Bee-bee)
Bulgari (Ball-ga-ree)
Chaiken (Chay-ken)
Christian Lacroix (Cristian la-kwa)
Christian Louboutin (Cristian lew-boo-tahn)
Hervé Léger (Air-vay Lay-jay)
Jean Paul Gaultier (zhan paul GO-tee-AY)
Loewe (Low-ev-ay)
Monique Lhullier (Mo-neek Loo-lee-ay)
Nicolas Ghesquière (NEE-ko-la guess-KYAIR)
Proenza Schouler (pro-EN-za SCHOOL-er)
Ralph Lauren (rhymes with "foreign)
Rochas (Ro-chass)
Rodarte (Ro-dart-tay)
Thakoon (Ta-koon)
Thierry Mugler (Tee-air-ree Moog-lay)
Ungaro (OON-ga-ro)
Is it just me or do you enjoy saying Hervé Léger and Lanvin the ignorant way more?...Like with an American pronunciation instead??

hey....how did you showing go? im sorry i couldnt make it...but dont u dare take me off of your vip invite list.
No I would never! hahha It went well. I had to make it work with 3 models after 3 cancelled! I just put fran out there twice :) I'll do a post about it
I really love this. I remember once I thought of doing a post on designer names most frequently mispronounced (even I had been an offender!) and a post on designers whose names seem to indicate they're one gender, when really they're the other! (yohji yamamoto- actually female, junya watanabe- actually male)
but you did a really fabulous job here.
thanks for the love, gloria!! but you have great ideas too. You should definitely still do those! :)
xo,
S.
