It's true. The crowds are ridiculous and while you'd like to be able to rip or roam freely through Alexander McQueen Savage Beauty exhibit at the MET, it's more of a shuffle, stay in line, be close to the edge to read the plaques kind of experience.

Now you have the chance to see it at your own pace for 50 bucks during usually closed hours on Mondays from 9:30-2:30pm. But the show has also been extended a week, now through August 7th, so take your pick.

Despite the inconveniences of having to enjoy the exhibit amond throngs of tourists and McQueen newbies, it was an incredibly enriching and emotional experience. I had to snap at least a fw shots for you guys, but I held back at the Kate Moss hologram and the two-way mirror piece. That you have to see for yourself.

Curator, Andrew Bolton is a true genuis in the way he's designed for the particular collections and how he's recreated shows like the just mentioned. He allows you to travel between little worlds of McQueen's design history. If you can't make it, please enjoy these shots [sound effects, feelings of the spirit of the work, or a lesson in McQueen's varied reference to Romanticism throughout his career, not included]
