If you don't already love the amazing gaudiness of gold, now may be the time to get acquainted...at least in preparation for Spring!

Galactic Minimalism's Acne-esque shoes and Military Academy's Balmain-esque shoes--I'm all over it!
I love when I walk into a familiar store and it gives me more than I expect. Old Navy did that a few years ago, H&M does it to me all the time...It's Aldo's time apparently.

A floral landscape of a collection. That was my impression of Erdem when I got my first glimpse of the line in 2007. 2010 and luckily, it's stayed true to this with wonderful variations in silhouette and the addition of texture. I'm dying over the floor length navy lace number!

"Sir, you have a bow tie tatted on your neck!"
It was almost a man's world at the Harlem Fashion Row. They turned out the style cues from spiked shoulders to invovative glassses--1920s vintage flight goggles! See it all above and below....

Sammy B?! I was blown away at this first encounter with her work at the Harlem Fashion Show at the Studio Museum in Harlem a couple weeks ago.
It was a bit alien spaceship, futuristic. Still touching on legitimate trends that I spotted for next Spring, like gold accents, sheer and cream/white, Sammy B bringS reality into her fantasy world. Complete with street style drummers and exaggerated mechanical poses by the models, it was a vibrantly intense show.

Always eco-conscious, with designs boasting recycled materials, Nashelle Jewelry takes a side step from its usual of metals and gemstones to organic-figured wooden pieces. Almost other-worldly, yet still minimalistic, the pieces hit the perfect balance between avant garde and wearable. I need the elbow cuff in my life!
The “Urban Forest” Wood Collection, was introduced in collaboration with the Toni Francesc show, this past fashion week. Inspired by all things nature, the handcrafted one-ofs are made with the urban sophisticate in mind.
The “Urban Forest” Wood Collection will be available for purchase on October 5th 2010. Mark your calendars!

Harlem Pop was such an amazing event. I was so overwhelmed and impressed by all my friends who came out to support! So humbled by all the love to the new designs that I debuted, namely the shades [pictured above].
I won't be one of those who wears them to night time events indoors, but I do invite you to go to Harlem Pop the next time I'm there and check them out! Check shots of amazing peeps below!

I want to wear everything from the Karen Walker Spring 2011. It's reminiscent of the Miu Miu Spring 2010 collection but the bright color and cas' tees lend a new twist.

Dear Catherine Malandrino,

The LF Store is having a crazy sale! This maxi that used to be $144 was only $38. Of course the sale prices are what most things should have been in the first place but let's just be happy that we didn't miss the sale!
