At Rae Holliday's bday-party my girl Chay rocked my world with a text that read,"Ginuwine is here."
You have to understand how much I loved him circa '96-'99. Although my type has evolved to a man that looks a lot less pretty, I had to respect my 10-year old self and approach him.
I told him how much I loved him and we took a shot. Let's not front. I was still excited!
Here's a video of him at the Apollo, in case you don't remember how much girls went crazy for him!

Show love and come out to NJV for another installment of our sample sale! Starts at 10 am...goes 'til 8 pm!

It takes a special man to pull these off. I'm sure you can make it happen. Original price: $286. Now: $143! Cop 'em at Oak.

This Vogue Germany (12.08) editorial shows a much more complex version of the twisted crown that I do to my hair. People have been admiring and inquiring. See it HERE. Would a video tutorial be a good idea?

Givenchy presents a black and white graphic print pant that screams "Futuristic!" Below, Solange gives a similar look in an outfit that I think is genius because it looks aboslutely effortless and absolutely dramatic, simultaneously.

Think about it: pair a white tee with your favorite black blazer. Enter in a pair of black and white graphic leggings (plays off the blk and white up top in a more interesting way) And slide on those bright pumps you never thought you'd wear again.
No need for crazy multi prints or an entire neon outfit. Genius!

Alice Dellal is a walking contradiction and true to that style. In Betsey Johnson (right shot) she proves that frou, frou and studs can produce natural harmony.
Is that a dolphin tattooed on your hand? I heart you, Alice!

"Boyfriend" has come to describe anything oversized for the fashionista. I've even been referring to the oversized tank as a "boyfriend tank" lately. But of course, our favorite trend spotter, Who What Wear Daily, has declared it a trend!

Here's a snippet of what they wrote:
The simple sophistication of an impeccably crisp and extra large button-up appeared on our sartorial radar early this season when we noticed a voluminously proportioned top on the S/S 09 runway of Japanese minimalist master, Yohji Yamamoto.
...After all, a well-crafted piece of menswear always adds a little androgyny and power to an ensemble, while the easy-going shape is perfect for those who have an insouciant attitude when it comes to their wardrobes!

Leaving the Maxwell listening party...here's what Eniola and I wore.

I love a boyfriend tank. And the graphic tube bra underneath gives it added interest.
The Sobe Summer Friday event was more than I expected with a vogue-ing Sobe mascot and a cute DJ who must have had a pile of numbers on his table by the end of the event (that's another story...). Here's some looks that caught my eye.
Trevor & Mia. He's with Chucks and a bowler hat. She with an A. Wang shoulder bag, shaved head and florals. They're married. What more is there to it?
