The '80s are still lurking with our unwavering commitment to the legging, so biker shorts were the natural progression.

Alexander Wang put them on the runway for Fall '09 and I've seen a few pairs tipping around downtown NYC lately. From basic black to electric color bursts, biker shorts are no longer just for the Tour de France crowd.

CoCo Slim from OMG MICHELLE inspired this week's post.

Layer them or wear alone with an oversized burnout tee for summer. Then, usher in the fall in a pair dressed up with a shoulder-interest blazer or a sick fur stole. Fellas, biker shorts are unisex, so be not afraid to slap on a pair!

Always on the hunt for good deals, I found lace, leather, and lamé styles at a couple of our favorite fashion-basic emporiums. Look out for an upcoming post of my biker shorts 'fit soon.

@ Ti: so love your legs! :)

@Summer: Get a biker short-inspired pair of shorts to achieve the look without the stress of actual tights :)

Ladies, all body shapes can hop on this trend. Its just a matter of the length of the shorts and the layering pieces! Don't be afraid!
