Random fact about me: I love the food network. And I love to cook.

So when I failed to find Presto's cake flour per my friend Jatae's peach cobbler recipe, I thought up an alternative--baked brie! Had it a few times in pie form, but according to the food network, anything you can make in a pie you can make with some Pillsbury dough.

Here's the outcome and my very own recipe with four simple ingredients. It came out really good--just as I hoped! Try it tomorrow!

Ingredients: fruit preserve, chopped nuts, brie, Pillsbury cresent rolls

Preparation: spread about half a teaspoon of your fruit preserve on the unrolled crescent piece (I used apricot fruit preserve). Add a small slice of brie and a sprinkle of your choice of chopped nuts (I used walnuts. Pecans would be a good choice too).

Roll dough into a crescent shape and sprinkle the outside with a few more nuts (for presentation...I told you I was into food network!) Bake the rolls under 375 degrees for about 15 minutes. And Voila!

...And what I wore today for thanksgiving food shopping and drinks with my mom!

Love the Pugh/Demeulemeester-esque shoulders on this jacket

Details: new tuxedo-ish H&M blazer, my aged Canada tee, my favorite and washed out Forever 21 jeans, Frye platform sandals, grey H&M socks

wow you have the BEST hair!! I'm mixed but I always end up straightening mine because I can't tame the curls properly. Tips please??? I'm going to try and add your blog to my links, but for some reason sometimes blogger erases mine so let me know if yours disappears so I can fix it! thanks for reading;)

Aww thanks!! Well when my hair dries wavy/frizzy. I twist it in a bunch of mini buns to get defined curls. It's a little time consuming to do very often so I usually get my hair straightened too.

But basically to achieve the same look, twist small sections of slightly damp hair into buns. Let air dry and run your fingers through it. You can do this after your hair dries a bit after washing or you can spritz dry hair with water.

Let me know how it turns out!
