Angela Lindvall in Karl Lagerfeld

Fashion design oddities are just another day for Gareth Pugh and Maison Martin Margiela.
.
But designers like Jonathan Saunders, Marc Jacobs and Miuccia Prada, who said she took the collection back to "primitive" eroticism [style.com] pushed the limits of textiles, layering and pattern-mixing as well as shoe design, respectively.
.
Wondering where all these bizarre designs are coming from? When the chips are down, designers keep us shopping by giving us something we don't have. They throw our standard needs and buying trends out the window and opt to surprise us instead. Are you surprised?

We're all examining and stepping back. When there's economic instability and people are questioning their purchasing, that's the time to look at the luxury world and elevate and push it. We have to edit our collections to the most beautiful parts of the collection." Read the entire article here

I can't get over the first one, the Karl Lagerfeld. Fantastic. The shoes are great, but I can't imagine standing, let alone balancing in those..
