The antithesis to the gentleman is the nerd. He's typically clumsy, unkept and uncool. Add style to this character with a few key pieces.
Gadgets are essential for this look. Strap on a calculator watch and a messenger bag for your other intelligent wares. Also accessorize with glasses--American Apparel and vintage shops have great options.
Another key to the geek chic look is pattern mixing. Pair stripes with checks, plaids with graphic tees and add a pair of skinny jeans or corduroy pants to the mix.
After you've shown off your chic pattern mixing skills and slick gadget collection, you can walk away with an understated shoe game. Yohji Yamamoto is starting a new line of canvas and rubber sole sneakers that will be way cooler than any pair of Chucks (Hypebeast). They're the perfect fit for your "not-cool-but-so-cool" persona.

yes, the geek look is super dope! iWas just telling my compadres earlier that iWould love to play the roll of a geek in a movie.
iHonestly think now-a-days, the way people are so eager to be different and stand out, anything can either become a new fashion trend or come back in style.
I Love this!
hahha thanks, Shaun! Great seeing you!
To Frank: Glad you like the geek look! and you're so right about everyone wanting to be an individual now. standing out has become it's own trend!

Oh, I love nerds too!!! Great pics.
P.S. I created this post in reaction to Shaun's (blogger for Prostituted Thoughts) question about how guys could pull of my geeky look from my "photoshoot." If you have any styling questions, let me know and I'll do my best to answer them in an email or a post. xo, S.
Thanks Hailey!!
