Yesterday I met J. Ivy. He's this dope spoken word artist that I'm sure you've heard before either on Def Poetry, John Legend's "So High" or Kanye West's "Never Let Me Down."

He played this video for us. It's a montage of Barack Obama photos and the song "Dream Big," which he recorded with his wife Tarrey Torae (together they're J. Torae). J puts you into deep thought about the world around you and your part in it, while Tarrey's voice forces up into action. The song is definitely inspiring...

Chique (sp?) whose place we were at is a director, graphic designer etc. Equally as dope. He put me on to Haagen Dazs' Vanilla & Honey Bee ice cream. So yummy and for a good cause: to save the honey bees from extinction. I even heard that honey bee harvesters are renting out their beehives! Click here for more info.
