The ever-eclectic Imani Coppola, 30, has style that anyone can relate to. It's personal, expressive and ever-evolving. The Long Island born, Bed Stuy reppin' beauty has "the voice of an angry angel and a truck-stop vocabulary." Her audacious, mix-matched style keeps her audience captivated by the way she wears her personality on her sleeve. Through email, Coppola shares her style, shopping destinations and inspiration with O.M.O. Writes.

When it comes to shopping, what's your favorite area in NYC?
The best place to create that sort of original look is a vintage shop. Williamsburg has some great vintage stores. Everyone, everywhere has a salvation army. Take a peek, it's cheap and fun. They separate clothing by color, it's hysterical.

What are your go-to shops?

I like to get my normal everyday clothes from target, H&M, Forever 21 and random shops here and there on fulton st in brooklyn. Urban Outfitters sometimes...You never know what you'll find on the clearance rack. I try to stay away from designer superstars because they can do some serious damage to your wardrobe budget.

Describe your style?
I like to mix it up. I could pair Harajuku lovers with baby phat and get away with it. At the moment, my style is a mixture of current trends mixed with some rock and roll and some tribal punk. That'll morph into a chic grunge as fall approaches with darker plaids and Doc Martin-like stilettos. But for now its colorful, artistic. If life were a classic feel good teenage movie, I would be the quirky character.

Who are your style icons in music?
Bjork. Kimya Dawson. David Bowie. Jimmy Hendrix. Bette Davis. Janelle Monae. Grace Jones. Anything they wore in the musical "Hair." Madonna circa 1984. Gwen Stefani. M.I.A.
