A sample of the treats scattered throughout the vintage wonderland called Fille De Joie...

What happened to events happening when they're scheduled!

I trekked all the way out to Williamsburg for the A.P.C sample sale today (which was supposed to begin yesterday). Turns out the store closed yesterday and today to prepare for the sale that will begin tomorrow!

All was not lost, as usual. I bumped into this cute girl with this huge bag! Talk about a statement piece...

Isabella, the model.

Then I decided to make the walk back to the train seem shorter by stopping in vintage shops. I was most excited about this one, Fille De Joie. It means daughter of joy, lady of leisure, prostitute. But which ever way you translate it, when applied to fashion and shopping, sounds like it means spoil yourself.

Everything is really beautifully and deliberately themed and color coordinated.

Cotton candy colored accessories

Tribal/safari inspired jewelry, belts and more cupcakes on a liquor trolly

For the most part, the price points are out of my league, understandbly as a lot of the pieces are finds from France. But I refused to walk out empty-handed, picking up these earrings that the owner, CC McGurr, dug up for me. Only $15.
