On Saturday, the N Boutique in Harlem hosted the Fabric By Blackburn S/S '08 preview. Moet mimosas and Diamond Exchange watches on display echoed the stature of the line.
The nine-month-old clothing line draws inspiration from Etro and Paul Smith. Blackburn uses the highest quality of cotton and printing for tees which start at about $190. Besides the attention to detail, the overall look is get-away fresh. It makes me crave mojitos and sand between my toes...just me?
For Fall you can expect inside out jeans and patent leather vests with fox fur trim.
But the ladies will have to wait for anything from the line until Spring '09 when Ramone, the line's owner and designer expects to make handbags. You can find press pics and such on their blog http://blkburn.blogspot.com/ and get put on at Pieces in Harlem or Closet 07631 in Englewood, NJ.
Here with Kwazz (stylist and marketing manager for Fabric By Blackburn) and my friend Melissa. Shout out to her blog, O So Chic!

Their shoe game is admirable. Note: the ones on the left aren't from Forever 21, but a boutique. You could definitely find them at Forever 21 though!
The woman on the right was in ALL navy blue! She reminded me of an article I read in the New Yorker about people who live their whole life (fashion, home decor, etc.) monochromatically!
