One pieces have re-emerged and with it, this idea that psuedo-outfits belong on the beach. Fun to look at, but I don't I would ever. Are you bringing your boyfriend blazer poolside?

Let's jump a bit ahead to Spring 2010. Be ahead this summer with inspiration from the collections for this time next year.

So I definitely forgot that the dinner was a soiree, which explains why I'm the only one in jeans. But I loved the Harlem Renaissance look that Chay and Jay were giving. And TreZure threw in some 1970s Bianca Jagger...

Like most, I was rocked by news of MJ's death. I didn't feel emotional though until Billy Jean came on today. I started singing it as usual and that's when it really hit me. He's contributed so much to music, dance and fashion and I hope that we all carry that same innovation forward.
xo,
S.

Be sure to show love! I'll be selling so come out to get your Odd & Even, NYC pieces this weekend as well as vintage digs and other indie designs.
In the morning: wear a blazer
In the day: change the top and wear a tee and flats
At night: put the blouse back on and the heels
All that may sound like a good plan, but my day outfit came across looking....hostess-like. A graphic white tee with blk pants and flat oxford shoes for comfort. Can you imagine? I guess everyone has an off day whatever the reason may be. But prepared today with an even day ahead, here's what I'm wearing....

This sounds so good. I may have to cut yoga for browsing and cocktails!

After seeing Pelham 123, I heard about the DC metro crash. How ironic. Sending out prayers.
Deets: FC sweater, UO cami, H&M jeans, Dockers belt, Steve Madden loafer flats, Odd & Even, NYC cuff
Some people lunch. Others vacation. Thanks to the resort 2010 shows, I will be strewn about on somebody's sand looking OVAH!

Why is Beyonce so amazing? Natural robotic dance moves, fantastical costumes...can't wait for the full video.

Mom jeans are a little more than that when you roll the cuff and pop on a sick shoe.
Dig around in your mom's closet, any random vintage/thrift shop or even H&M for one of their renditions to get into the Mom Jean look.

The Terry Richardson touch was exactly what the doctor ordered for this patient-themed Vogue US editorial. I need the bra in the shot above. I've been looking for the perfect lace bra to peek out from the side of a slouchy tank for too long now...
This shot is just for comic relief because I'm sure we all go to our doctor's appointments decked out to the nines.

I want to scratch my eyes too! One more cloudy day...While we wait for the season to begin in NYC, here's an inspiring editorial to hold us over. Check out the other shots HERE.
"These directional dressers are pushing the proverbial patterned-envelope by reaching for batik, ikat, and other tribal-influenced garments in an off-putting, acid-tone palette...styling them with tough and punky pieces adorned with studs, grommets, and zippers for a little edge.
The look, which we have affectionately christened Tribal Punk, provides the perfect mix for spring and summer: think global bazaar by way of St. Mark's Place."

I've been known to love a shoulder pad and H&M is a sure fix for a sharp shouldered blazer. But check out this Balmain/YSL-inspired diddy that the basics emporium is serving. The award for the sharpest shoulders ever goes to...
There is nothing sexier than a woman in menswear. I love the juxtaposition of androgynous dress. New brand, Boy. by Band of Outsiders captures the look with a bit of Upper Eastside panache thrown in.

In case of the iso' t-Storms that weather.com warned me about for my trip to DC, I packed two extra pairs of shoes. It was surprisingly summer-time and I came back dressed as such. In a midriff-baring cropped top, a NY chill welcomed me back home.
Deets: H&M cropped top, Am App jeans, UO skinny belt, Steven shoes

Sessilee Lopez does the most in the latest Vogue Italia. She's inspiring me to wrap my head up in a fury of scarves! New trend! :)
